23 Weeks- WooHoo!

A MANGO

What Baby M is up to this week...

Turn on the radio and sway to the music (like I did at the wedding on Saturday). With her sense of movement well developed by now, your baby can feel you dance. And now that she's more than 11 inches long and weighs just over a pound (about as much as a large mango), you may be able to see her squirm underneath your clothes. Blood vessels in her lungs are developing to prepare for breathing, and the sounds that your baby's increasingly keen ears pick up are preparing her for entry into the outside world. Loud noises that become familiar now — such as your dog barking or the roar of the vacuum cleaner — probably won't faze her when she hears them outside the womb. In the womb-
We're beginning work on the nursery, and we hope to have it finished by our Baby M Party hosted by friends on August 7th. Our glider, dresser, nightstand, window treatments, and rug are all in! Waiting on the crib to arrive this week or next...

Now we are left with the fun job of painting the room and putting up chair rail. I love the color of the room right now- the softest blue- but we don't know if blue is the right color so we are going with an antique white and khaki. Will is planning to put up the chair rail (unless Rainer's dad, Ted, makes a visit to Bham in the next month). Once the paint and chair rail are finished, we should be ready to put all furniture in place and start decorating the walls. If you have any cute nursery ideas, please send them my way.

Here's one that I'm using as a little inspiration...but add some green accents.

Baby M has to have a piggy bank- dont you just love that sterling silver one?!
